Minted in Mexico City between 1665-1700 Under King Carlos II of
Spain (most do not bear dates).
These very Early American coins displayed the Mexican Cross of
Jerusalem
on the reverse and the crowned monogram of King Charles II on the
obverse. All of these coins are quite crude and each was cut
from a silver Bar and then trimmed to weigh the equivalent of 1/2
Real. Silver from the famed silver "Pieces of 8" coinage.
This coin is custom mounted in an 18kt. Pendant and is about the
size of a USA 10 cent piece.
